Al­covy con­tin­ues gru­el­ing sched­ule

In the midst of six soft­ball games in four days, Al­covy was keep­ing its un­beaten streak in­tact Fri­day night.

The Tigers routed Colquitt County 11-0 in five in­nings dur­ing their fourth game of the Ge­or­gia Di­a­mond Club Tour­na­ment in White­wa­ter Fri­day night.

Kia Sor­rells scored three runs and added three RBI on two hits to lead Al­covy’s hit parade.

Chelsie Nol­ley added three hits, three runs and two RBI for Al­covy, which was 7-0-1 be­fore Satur­day games against Ea­gles Land­ing Chris­tian Academy and Colquitt County.

Mor­gan Mob­ley also had two runs for the Tigers, who looked to Chelsea Mur­phy in the pitch­ing circle against Colquitt County Fri­day night.

“Ev­ery­body con­trib­uted,” Al­covy coach Mon­ica Marks said.

Al­covy takes three days off af­ter fin­ish­ing the Ge­or­gia Di­a­mond Clas­sic Tour­na­ment, be­fore play­ing at Put­nam County Wed­nes­day.
