Lo­cal stor­age fa­cil­ity robbed at gun­point Tues.

Cov­ing­ton po­lice are look­ing for a man they said robbed South of the Square Stor­age lo­cated on Ga. High­way 36 on Tues­day.

Capt. Ken Mal­com said the rob­bery hap­pened around noon, when a black male wear­ing a black hoodie, black shorts and black tennis shoes with red laces walked in and de­manded money from a fe­male clerk in the store.

Mal­com said the man pulled out a sil­ver hand­gun and or­dered the clerk to give him all of the money out of the till. The clerk gave the man the money and then he de­manded that she give him all of her per­sonal jew­elry and her cell phone. The woman com­plied. He then tied the woman up and left the store. The clerk was not phys­i­cally injured.

Mal­com said po­lice are look­ing for the man, who was de­scribed as more than 6 feet tall with a stout build. Mal­com said any­one with in­for­ma­tion about the rob­bery should contact Cov­ing­ton po­lice at (770) 786-7605 or at cov­ing­ton­po­lice.com.
