Ea­gles kick off sea­son

The Ox­ford Col­lege of Emory Univer­sity Women’s Soc­cer team en­ters the 2012 sea­son with a very chal­leng­ing sched­ule un­der third year head coach Gre­gory Moss-Brown.

The team is look­ing to im­prove upon last sea­son, in which it fin­ished 2-9-1 and earned a bid to the NJ-

CAA gional tour- re- na­ment.

The Ea­gles re­turn seven play­ers with var­sity game ex­pe­ri­ence and added three ad­di­tional sopho­mores to join the class. Re­turn­ing play­ers with var­sity ex­pe­ri­ence con­sists of Amy Van- Pelt, Car­lie Smith, Ha­ley Leap­trot, Kal­y­sea Loyan, Tor­rie Howard, Tif­fany Bien, and Sara Wetzstein. Lind­say Hur­ley, Lauren Tay­lor and Raine Gowan round out the sopho­mores.

Ox­ford’s in­com­ing re­cruit­ing class is very solid.
