Social Circle fair begins Tuesday
It’s time once again for the annual kick-off of fall — the Social Circle Fair.
Opening of Sept. 4 and going through Sept. 8, the fair is located behind Social Circle High School/Middle School.
Admission is just $1, or you can purchase a wrist band for $20 and ride every day, all day on all rides. Presales are available for $15 at the Bank of Social Circle, Pinnacle Bank and Social Circle ACE.
Gates open at 6 p.m. on Sept. 4-7, and at 3 p.m. on Sept. 8.
Along with the spectacular rides and food available, there is also nightly entertainment from 7 to 10 p.m.
Opening night there will be gospel music; Wednesday night, the Social Circle High School Band and the Social Circle Theatre Players will provide the entertainment; Thursday, music will be provided by The Apostles of Bluegrass; Friday, it’s The Sandy Bottom Band; and Saturday, the festivities will conclude with The Emily McCannon Band.
The fair will have daily helicopter rides, pony rides on Friday and Saturday and free Georgia Child Identification registration on Friday.
The fair is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Social Circle. All proceeds benefit the Social Circle High School fund and other rotary projects.
