Bai­ley, Ter­rell come to Ge­or­gia Tech

An­derico Bai­ley, East­side — The Pres­by­te­rian Col­lege re­ceiver caught two balls for 21 yards as the East­side alum re­turned to the At­lanta area dur­ing the Blue Hose’s 59-3 loss at Ge­or­gia Tech Satur­day.

One of his catches went for 23 yards, the other a loss of 2 yards.

An­tar­ius Ter­rell, East­side — Also re­turn­ing to the At­lanta area at Ge­or­gia Tech for Pres­by­te­rian, Ter­rell saw ac­tion against Ge­or­gia Tech.

Ter­rell had one solo and one as­sisted tackle.

D.J. Hill, New­ton — The sopho­more line­backer didn’t record a statis­tic but saw play­ing time in Vir­ginia’s dra­matic win over Penn State Satur­day.

The Cava­liers kept the Nit­tany Lions win­less as Vir­ginia quar­ter­back Michael Rocco threw the game-win­ning 6-yard touch­down pass to Jake McGee with 1:28 re­main­ing. Penn State’s Sam Fricken then missed his fourth field goal, from 42 yards out, to give Vir­ginia the win.

Shel­don Rank­ins, East­side — Rank­ins had his first col­le­giate tackle for No. 19 Louisville in the Car­di­nals 35-17 win over Mis­souri State Satur­day.

The tackle came against Michael Coop­erFalls on a 5-yard gain on first-and-10 from the MSU 38-yard line on the third-to-last play of the game.

Devon Ed­wards, Al­covy — The Duke fresh- man played in his first game Satur­day. The for­mer All-State run­ning back was not able to help, how­ever, as Duke fell at Stan­ford 50-13.

Devon Mann, New­ton — Mann fol­lowed up his 77-yard re­ceiv­ing per­for­mance against Howard with one catch for 23 yards for More­house Col­lege in its 3918 win over Ed­ward Wa­ters Col­lege Satur­day.

Ash­ton Ziadie, East­side — East­side girls’ soc­cer’s all-time lead­ing scorer is cur­rently a mem­ber of Colum­bus State, which is off to a 4-0 record and is No. 11 rank­ing. Ziadie started all 23 games as a sopho­more, and in her ju­nior year is yet to see play­ing time.

Tara Har­ri­son, East­side — As a de­fender, Har­ri­son has been a big part of LaGrange Col­lege’s 3-1 start. The Pan­thers, of the USA South Ath­letic Con­fer­ence, have had shutouts in all three of their wins.

Har­ri­son, who is the sec­ond most as­sists in East­side girls’

Katie McCal­lum, East­side — Af­ter lead­ing the East­side girls’ soc­cer team in goals scored in 2011, the Clay­ton State fresh­man has helped the Lak­ers get off to a 3-1 start. McCal­lum has played in all four games, scor­ing one goal, a game-win­ner in a 2-1 vic­tory over Ten­nessee Wes­leyan.

Zac John­son, East­side — John­son tal­lied one solo and six as­sisted tack­les in Charleston South­ern’s 31-10 loss to Jacksonville Satur­day.
