Central Community Church has ministries for all ages. There are several ministries for children and young adults, age groups ranging from birth to college. Central also offers their own version of small groups called “Life Groups,” which are based on life skills and interest rather than just spiritual aspects. For example, there is a sushi group that goes out once or twice a week to worship while eating sushi, but there are also more traditional groups offered, like one that has a focus on Bible study.

There are three high-volume weekend services led by Senior Pastors Darrell and Donna Allen, at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. “We have a great, just really awesome worship service,” said Administrative Pastor Mark Owens said. Rory Comtois, former worship leader at Free Chapel, and Jimmie Mayo, formerly at Church in the Now, lead the praise and worship. There are also mid-week services on Wednesday nights, when the focus is on the Nursery, Children’s, and Youth ministries. The church has recently started a new outreach ministry called Reach Outlet. It is an outlet store, but according to Owens, “it’s not your typical outlet or thrift store.” One hundred percent of the profits go toward giving back to the community. The church also just started a learning center for ages 3-5 that meets every weekday. It is a halfday program, currently hosting around 20 students, called Central Early Learning Center.

“Well, we’re nondenominational. It’s almost ‘come as you are.’ Some people come in suits, but you might see someone in blue jeans and a T-shirt. It’s an opportunity to reach a mass of people, regardless of age, race, anything,” Owens said. “We have a very multicultural church, and the ages vary, too.”

“The people. Our motto here is ‘Leading People into a Life Changing Relationship With Jesus Christ.’” Owens said. “The biggest reward for me is to see that life change take place.”
