SUV crashes into restaurant in Atlanta
ATLANTA (AP) — Three people were hurt after an SUV crashed into a Zesto restaurant in Atlanta, authorities said.
The vehicle crashed into the restaurant near Moreland and East Confederate avenues after a chain-reaction collision Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Three people were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.
The business was closed at the time of the accident.
Four vehicles were in a wreck near the restaurant, which caused a Lincoln Navigator to careen into the restaurant, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
The driver of a Ford Expedition was southbound on Moreland Avenue when she lost control, striking several other vehicles and setting off the chain reaction crash, Georgia State Patrol Senior Trooper Larry Schnall said.
The Navigator “traveled airborne into the building, causing significant damage to the establishment,” Schnall said.
“Fortunately, no one was inside,” he said.
