Lo­cal com­pletes GBI Spe­cial Agent course

Bran­don Tis­dale, for­merly of Cov­ing­ton, re­cently com­pleted the Spe­cial Agent Can­di­date Course at the Ge­or­gia Pub­lic Safety Train­ing Cen­ter in Forsyth. The Spe­cial Agent course pro­vided per­for­mance-cen­tered in­struc­tion in crim­i­nal in­ves­ti­ga­tion tech­niques and pro­ce­dures that are typ­i­cally ap­plied on the job by GBI Spe­cial Agents.

Tis­dale, the son of Ge­or­gia State Pa­trol Sergeant First Class Harold Tis­dale of Cov­ing­ton and Brenda Kay Tis­dale of Val­dosta, is a 2008 grad­u­ate of Al­covy High School. In May he re­ceived a de­gree in Crim­i­nal Jus­tice from the An­drew Young School of Pol­icy Stud­ies at Ge­or­gia State Univer­sity. He has been as­signed to the GBI’s Re­gional Of­fice in Cony­ers and will be de­tached to the So­cial Se­cu­rity Fraud Unit.

Tis­dale was one of 45 men and women who re­ceived diplo­mas and GBI Spe­cial Agent Cre­den­tials at grad­u­a­tion cer­e­monies held in Novem­ber at the Train­ing Cen­ter. Gov­er­nor Nathan Deal was the key­note speaker at the grad­u­a­tion.
