Sher­iff’s an­nual toy run col­lects 155 toys

The New­ton County Sher­iff’s Of­fice col­lected 155 toys, as well as money to pur­chase more, dur­ing their 14th an­nual toy run Satur­day.

There were 137 peo­ple rid­ing on 107 mo­tor­cy­cles dur­ing the drive. The Sal­va­tion Army truck cooked food that was do- nated by Wheeler’s Funeral Home and Cov­ing­ton Ford.

Chancey’s Wrecker Ser­vice, B&H Wrecker Ser­vice, Sel­lars Mo­tors and Wrecker Ser­vice, Chick-fil-A, Hill Top Tow­ing, Cus­tom Tint and Sound, K-2 Tow­ing, Moun­tain Mo­tor­sports and The Cov­ing­ton News all joined in to spon­sor the ride.
