Re­united for the hol­i­days

The New­ton County Com­pre­hen­sive High School’s Class of 1977 cel­e­brated the 35th an­niver­sary of its grad­u­a­tion at a Christ­mas Gala on Dec.1 at the Amer­i­can Le­gion Post 32 Build­ing.

Those who at­tended were: Yvonne Adams Carr, Sherry Avery, Jerome Ben­ton, Em­manuel Ben­ton, Scott Blair, Cyn­thia Banks Bo­stick, Michael Boswell Wil­liams, Kath­eryn Brown Banks, Brenda Caudill Bag­well, Cheryl Clark Babb, Char­lene Col­lier Cobb, Don­nie Comp­ton, Wanda Cook Moore, Judy Cook Sawyers, Anne Marie Craw­ford Kurtz, Jimmy Cur­tis, Wil­lie Davis, Henry Dun­can, Larry Eubanks, Phillip Fuller, Judy Gaither Dial, Cheryl Hen­der­son Wil­liams, Ger­ald Hen­der­son, Mike Humphrey, Jane Hunt Comp­ton, Kathy Mathis Bell, Shirley Russ, Lil­lie Thomas, Wal­ter Tray­lor, Joan Wal­ton Castel­lana, Sharon Weaver Sil­very, Johnny Wil­liamso­nand Ri­cardo Wy­att.

The class danced to the sev­en­ties sounds with D.J. Leroy Free­man, posed for pic­tures with pho­tog­ra­pher Lil­lie Thomas and en­joyed a fes­tive Christ­mas buf­fet.

In the spirit of Christ­mas, each class mem­ber brought an un­wrapped toy to be dis­trib­uted by Post 32 to needy chil­dren this Christ­mas. More than 40 won­der­ful toys were left, un­der the tree, at the Amer­i­can Le­gion Post 32 Build­ing.

Hav­ing reached the half-cen­tury mark in age, the class mem­bers vowed to keep in touch and share in class ac­tiv­i­ties monthly.
