Kiwanis donates $500 to Salvation Army
The Kiwanis Club of Covington donated $500 in cash and 43 Kiwanians each sponsored a child for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree giveaway and spent around $50 a piece on each child. The Angel Tree Program is designed to provide everyday necessities, clothing and Christmas gifts to disadvantaged young children and the elderly. The local Salvation Army is located at 5193 Washington Street SW in Covington.
