Mrs. John­nie Mae Wil­liams died June 15. Mrs. Wil­liams was born in 1941 in Jasper County, the daugh­ter of Mr. Os­car and Mrs. Eu­nice Ben­ton. She joined Pleas­ant Grove Bap­tist Church at an early age and later moved her mem­ber­ship to Bethel Grove Bap­tist Church, Mon­ti­cello.

She was united in holy mat­ri­mony to Mr. Thomas Wil­liams, and to this union, four chil­dren were born. Pre­ced­ing her in death are her hus­band, mother, fa­ther, two sis­ters, two broth­ers, two sis­ters-in­law.

She leaves to cher­ish her mem­o­ries her chil­dren Mr. and Mrs. Fred­die (Alice) Free­man, Mr. Chuck Wil­liams, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin (Tracey) Cain­ion, Mr. and Mrs. Ladd (San­dra) Green; a de­voted and car­ing son/nephew Mr. Wil­lie Ben­ton; brother Mr. Johnny Ree Ben­ton; aunt Sally, of Florida; 13 grand­chil­dren; 18 great-grand­chil­dren; a host of nieces, neph­ews, other rel­a­tives and friends.

Fu­neral ser­vices were held June 22 at Bethel Grove Bap­tist Church, Mon­ti­cello, with the Rev. Lu­cious Solomon
