‘Sun­shine’ to be camp fi­nale

“Let the Sun­shine In,’’ the pro­duc­tion that is the fi­nale of the Arts As­so­ci­a­tion in New­ton County’s Mu­si­cal Theatre Camp, will be at 7 p.m. July 19 in Porter Me­mo­rial Hall at the old New­ton High School, 140 Ram Drive, Cov­ing­ton.

Dur­ing the camp’s two ses­sions, stu­dents in grades 4-12 have in­struc­tion in mu­sic, drama and Broad­way dance, fo­cus­ing on the pe­riod of the 1960s with mu­si­cal the­ater.

Camp di­rec­tors are Mary Lynn Luke, mu­sic; Jay Tryall, drama; and Ash­ley and Peter Swan, dance. All are artis­tic di­rec­tors for the Young Artists pro­grams of the Arts As­so­ci­a­tion: Ox­ford Singing Chil­dren, Ox­ford Youth Singers, and Cov­ing­ton Re­gional Ballet School & Com­pany.

Spon­sors are Wil­liam H. Mathieu, P.C.; Alexan­der Roys­ton, LLP; and Miche­lin Tread Tech­nolo­gies. Col­lab­o­ra­tors are the Arts As­so­ci­a­tion and the New­ton County School Sys­tem.
