Join the revival

The Covington News - - OPINION -

There are many across this nation who believe that in order for our country to emerge from corruption and moral degradation, we need a great revival to sweep the land.

In that spirit, concerned citizens in Covington will hold a special prayer event on Saturday. The second annual “Community on Our Knees” service will be held at 7 p.m. on the square.

A total of 14 local churches have pooled their resources to provide music and lead the community in prayers for their children, neighbors, government and country. More details can be read at covnews. com.

Starting Saturday morning at 9 a.m., there will be a prayer wall and a prayer center where you can leave a prayer request.

Last year, 1,000 local residents turned out for the first community prayer event. Many more are expected Saturday night.

We hope you will have time to join with your neighbors in asking God to bless and protect our community and nation.
