One tank trip: Panama City Beach

Covington through the camera

When it comes to my yearly trip to a nearby beach, I prefer PCB (Panama City Beach, Fla.). I avoid the early-to-midsummer and wait till the approach of fall to plan my visit. The weather is still very warm and the vacation crowds have thinned out a bit.

Panama City Beach is in Florida’s Bay County, on the Gulf of Mexico. It’s a popular vacation desti- nation, especially among Southerners.

After Labor Day, this place is as close to paradise as you can get without a passport. The beaches are beautiful, and there are many great places to visit, including restaurants, gift shops, boardwalks and a beautiful state park.

Panama City Beach is the perfect place for a late summer/early fall weekend getaway.
