A man was ar­rested on dis­or­derly con­duct charges af­ter his girl­friend’s 2-year-old son re­port­edly be­came in­tox­i­cated.

Of­fi­cers with the Covington Po­lice Depart­ment ar­rested a man on dis­or­derly con­duct charges af­ter he and his girl­friend re­port­edly got into an ar­gu­ment af­ter her 2-yearold son be­came in­tox­i­cated while in his care.

A CPD re­port said an of­fi­cer re­sponded to a home on Carl­ton Trail in ref­er­ence to a fam­ily fight af­ter dis­patch stated that a woman was be­ing threat­ened by her boyfriend, iden­ti­fied as Qu­nit­terius Hawk. Dis­patch stated that Hawk tore his girl­friend’s shirt off, pushed her and tried to punch the vic­tim and her mother.

The woman told the of­fi­cer that she came home from work ear­lier that day and found her 2-year-old in­tox­i­cated. Hawk was re­port­edly watch­ing the tod­dler.

Ac­cord­ing to the re­port, the woman said she and Hawk be­gan ar­gu­ing and he left the res­i­dence. But she said Hawk re­turned later and they be­gan ar­gu­ing again.

“(The woman) said Hawk ripped her shirt off of her. (She) had on a black tank top around her waist and stated she got an­other shirt from her mother’s car,” the re­port stated.

Hawk re­port­edly took the woman’s keys and locked him­self in­side the house. The re­port said the woman had a friend bring over a spare key and she was able to en­ter the home.

Of­fi­cers re­port­edly found Hawk hid­ing in the bed­room closet. He was ar­rested and charged with dis­or­derly con­duct.

The woman’s mother re­port­edly took the child home with her. The re­port said the child acted as though he did not feel well when he got to their house. How­ever, af­ter he was given some wa­ter, he started to feel bet­ter, walk­ing and play­ing, the re­port said.
