Fire­fight­ers ar­rive on scene and as­sess sit­u­a­tion. Equip­ment is laid out and a plan is made on how to at­tack the sit­u­a­tion.


Fire­fight­ers pack the ap­pro­pri­ate equip­ment. Har­nesses are put on for pul­ley sys­tem and for res­cue. Fire­fight­ers rig them­selves for safe work on struc­ture.


Ropes are tied to beams; pul­ley and harness sys­tem set up for res­cue. Com­mu­ni­ca­tion ex­tended to vic­tim to see if he/ she is con­scious and what in­juries there are. At­mo­spheric con­di­tions of con­fined struc­ture tested with probe or wand. Res­cuer goes into con­fined struc­ture. Web mesh is put un­der sub­ject; he/she is hauled up. Harness is at­tached to vic­tim. Vic­tim is pulled over struc­ture, and a team of fire­fight­ers low­ers him down with pul­ley sys­tem. Vic­tim is put onto stretcher and taken for med­i­cal care.
