Li­brary kicks off sum­mer read­ing pro­gram

The New­ton County Li­brary Sys­tem is hold­ing its an­nual Sum­mer Read­ing Pro­gram and giv­ing prizes to ev­ery sum­mer reader who com­pletes the in­struc­tion. The pro­gram is avail­able for chil­dren up to age 17 and runs from June 1-July 31.

Here’s what to do:

-Visit any branch of the New­ton County Li­brary Sys­tem be­tween June 1 and July 31 to reg­is­ter and pick up a Sum­mer Read­ing Log. - Record any read books on the log. - Af­ter eight books are read — one book for each week of the pro­gram — bring the log to the li­brary and re­ceive a prize and a cer­tifi­cate.

JUNE
