Tennessee man charged in fatal Georgia crash
WINDER, Ga. (AP) — State troopers say the driver of a tractor-trailer has been charged in a fatal crash that led to a major traffic jam in Barrow County.
Authorities say 40-year-old Roger Bly of Murfreesboro, Tennessee has been charged with vehicular homicide and following too closely in a crash Wednesday afternoon on Highway 316 in Winder.
State police say 29-year-old Cody Brantley of Winder died in the crash and a 44-year-old man who was injured is being treated at the Athens Regional Medical Center.
Authorities say Bly’s truck rear-ended a pickup truck which hit another vehicle. Authorities say the tractor trailer overturned after the first crash.
It’s unclear if Bly has an attorney.
