Ten­nessee man charged in fa­tal Ge­or­gia crash

WIN­DER, Ga. (AP) — State troop­ers say the driver of a trac­tor-trailer has been charged in a fa­tal crash that led to a ma­jor traf­fic jam in Bar­row County.

Au­thor­i­ties say 40-year-old Roger Bly of Murfrees­boro, Ten­nessee has been charged with ve­hic­u­lar homi­cide and fol­low­ing too closely in a crash Wed­nes­day af­ter­noon on High­way 316 in Win­der.

State po­lice say 29-year-old Cody Brant­ley of Win­der died in the crash and a 44-year-old man who was in­jured is be­ing treated at the Athens Re­gional Med­i­cal Cen­ter.

Au­thor­i­ties say Bly’s truck rear-ended a pickup truck which hit an­other ve­hi­cle. Au­thor­i­ties say the trac­tor trailer over­turned af­ter the first crash.

It’s un­clear if Bly has an at­tor­ney.
