Hugh Troy Butler, Sr. Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home
Hugh Troy Butler, Sr., age 55, of Oxford, passed away June 6, 2014. A native of Newton County, his family was among the first Newton County settlers. He was a member of The Pentecostals of McDonough where he enjoyed sharing his gift of music. He played guitar and bass, loved to sing and was a very talented artist. Loving father and husband, he will be sorely missed. Hugh was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Butler, and father, Raleigh Butler; and brother, Johnny Butler.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Willene Price Butler; daughter, Breanna M’Lynn Butler; sons and daughter- in- law, Hugh Troy Butler, II, all of Oxford, Andrew William and Rachel Winnell Harvey Bulter of Loganville; sister and brother- inlaw, Rollene and Jim Blackstock; brother and sisters- in- law, Gary Patrick and Janice Butler all of Newborn, Clarice Price Whitfield of Oxford; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Hugh will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014, 1:00 P.M., at The Pentecostals of McDonough, 1181 Highway 42 N, in McDonough, with his son, Andrew William But- ler and Pastor Charles P. Harvey officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, June 9, from 5– 9 p.ms.
