Hugh Troy But­ler, Sr. Cald­well & Cowan Fu­neral Home

Hugh Troy But­ler, Sr., age 55, of Ox­ford, passed away June 6, 2014. A na­tive of New­ton County, his fam­ily was among the first New­ton County set­tlers. He was a mem­ber of The Pen­te­costals of McDonough where he en­joyed shar­ing his gift of mu­sic. He played gui­tar and bass, loved to sing and was a very tal­ented artist. Lov­ing fa­ther and hus­band, he will be sorely missed. Hugh was pre­ceded in death by his mother, He­len But­ler, and fa­ther, Raleigh But­ler; and brother, Johnny But­ler.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife, Ann Wil­lene Price But­ler; daugh­ter, Bre­anna M’Lynn But­ler; sons and daugh­ter- in- law, Hugh Troy But­ler, II, all of Ox­ford, Andrew Wil­liam and Rachel Win­nell Har­vey Bul­ter of Lo­ganville; sis­ter and brother- in­law, Rol­lene and Jim Blackstock; brother and sis­ters- in- law, Gary Patrick and Janice But­ler all of New­born, Clarice Price Whit­field of Ox­ford; sev­eral nieces and neph­ews.

Fu­neral Ser­vices for Hugh will be held Tues­day, June 10, 2014, 1:00 P.M., at The Pen­te­costals of McDonough, 1181 High­way 42 N, in McDonough, with his son, Andrew Wil­liam But- ler and Pas­tor Charles P. Har­vey of­fi­ci­at­ing, and in­ter­ment fol­low­ing in Lawn­wood Me­mo­rial Park. The fam­ily will re­ceive friends at the fu­neral home Mon­day, June 9, from 5– 9 p.ms.
