Trial de­layed for GA woman ac­cused in mili­tia plot

LU­DOWICI, Ga. (AP) — The trial of a woman ac­cused of plot­ting to kill a for­mer sol­dier and his girl­friend has been de­layed and her mother is ac­cused of threat­en­ing the lives of the pros­e­cu­tor and de­fense at­tor­ney in the case.

Long County District At­tor­ney Tom Dur­den told lo­cal me­dia out­lets Thurs­day that of­fi­cials are look­ing for a new pub­lic de­fender for Heather Sal­mon.

Sal­mon’s hus­band, Christo­pher Sal­mon, was con­victed of help­ing or­ches­trate the slay­ings of two people. He’s been sen­tenced along with a co-con­spir­a­tor to life with­out pa­role. Heather Sal­mon has de­nied be­ing in­volved.
