Trial delayed for GA woman accused in militia plot
LUDOWICI, Ga. (AP) — The trial of a woman accused of plotting to kill a former soldier and his girlfriend has been delayed and her mother is accused of threatening the lives of the prosecutor and defense attorney in the case.
Long County District Attorney Tom Durden told local media outlets Thursday that officials are looking for a new public defender for Heather Salmon.
Salmon’s husband, Christopher Salmon, was convicted of helping orchestrate the slayings of two people. He’s been sentenced along with a co-conspirator to life without parole. Heather Salmon has denied being involved.
