Sis­ter Shirley Walker Brooks was born on June 20, 1954 in Cony­ers, Ge­or­gia to the late Mr. & Mrs. Henry (Emma O’dell) Walker. She was the fifth of nine chil­dren.

On June 6, 2014 Shirley fell asleep in death. She was pre­ceded in death by one son, Wil­liam La­mar Brooks, six sib­lings, Ho­mar Hamm, Bobby Walker, John Henry Walker, Baby Boy Walker, Richard Walker and Henry Ann Walker. She will be greatly missed by all her fam­ily and friends.

She leaves to cher­ish her mem­o­ries, seven chil­dren, Mr. & Mrs. War­ren (De­bra) Mor­ris, Mr. & Mrs. Daron ( Char­lene) Brooks, Ms. Sonya Walker, Mr. & Mrs. De­van (Maria) Askew, Mr. & Mrs. Ran­dolph (Ali­cia) Mar­rast, Mr. & Mrs. Dar­ian (Feli­cia) White and Ms. Jamekia Brooks, all of Cov­ing­ton, Ge­or­gia, brother, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Dan ( Jennifer) Walker, Cedar Town, Ge­or­gia, sis­ter, Mr. & Mrs. Bob (Mag­gie) Clark, Cov­ing­ton, Ge­or­gia, 16 grand­chil­dren, 3 great grand­chil­dren, 2 aunts, Ms. Dorothy Daniels and Ms. Mag­gie Brooks, both of Cony­ers, Ge­or­gia, a host of nieces, neph­ews, other rel­a­tives and spe­cial friends.

Ser­vice for Sis­ter Brooks will be held Satur­day, June 14, 2014, 11 a.m. at King­dom Hall of Je­ho­vah’s Wit­nesses, 2914 Fairview Road, Cov­ing­ton.

We wish to thank all of you for your many acts of love and kind­ness dur­ing our time of great pain and sorrow. Your ex­pres­sions of love have been most com­fort­ing to us as we face this loss of our loved one. We thank you and may our God Je­ho­vah bless you for your sin­cere acts of true love.
