A life-changing experience
The Salvation Army has had a busy start to its summer in Newton County, kicking things off with an event at Camp Grandview in Jasper. The Salvation Army sponsored 18 children from Newton County to attend the camp for children, adults and seniors. Camp Grandview gives life-changing experience to its campers. They enjoy fresh mountain air, exercise and character-based programs, and make new friends that last a lifetime.

The food pantry is open to Newton County residents that are in need of emergency food assistance. The Salvation Army currently serves as many as 131 families each month.
