PREVENTING SKIN CANCER
Gooden says the practice sees 20 year olds with melanoma. With the popularity of tanning, it is important to take measures to protect your skin from cancer by wearing sunblock. When applying, remember:
— Use between 30-35 SPF. Gooden says more SPF does not mean better protection. 30-35 SPF is substantial for preventing cancer and aging.
— Gooden says reapplication is the most important thing to remember. Reapply every 3-3.5 hours.
— Use a sunscreen with zinc oxide.
— Restrict use of tanning beds.
