Covington Mills to Pay Bonus

More than $7,000.00 Will Be Distributed in Next Few Days

The Covington News - - MEMORY LANE -

The Covington Mills has announced they will pay a bonus to their employees the first of April.

Every employee of the mill will amount to more than $7,000.00.

This bonus is given as an appreciation of the faithfulness of their employees and as a tangible evidence of this appreciation.

The Covington Mills was established in 1900 and since its establishment has never run a day’s short times except for failure of the power systems or while co-operating with the provisions of NRA.

In several of the families living in the mill village there are three generations working in the mill. An unusually high type of mill workers live in the village and harmony has always prevailed with their employees. As evidence of this fact the labor turnover is less than one per cent per year.

The officers of the mill are: T. C. Swann, president; R.O. Arnold, general manager and treasurer; E.B. Rogers, secretary.
