While Social Circle seeks a more permanent replacement for its city manager, it has turned to someone accustomed to minding the store between managers.

Ross Hubbard has been brought on as Social Circle’s city manager with a sixmonth contract recently.

Hubbard will not only perform the daily duties of running the city, but will also be in charge of the search for a full-time city manager.

Hubbard has previously served as city manager of Toccoa, while the city was looking for its own fulltime manager. He also did the same for Cornelia, and was also a long-term city manager in California.

“He’s a good man,” Social Circle Mayor Hal Dally said.

Hubbard will serve as interim manager after Social Circle parted ways with Doug White in late February. White served 13 years as social Circle’s city manager, and has recently been hired with the Bobby Dodd Institute in Atlanta.
