Ms. Sara B. Stubbs passed away on April 9, 2015. She was born in New­ton County on June 16, 1927. She was a life­long res­i­dent of Cov­ing­ton.

Ms. Stubbs was pre­de­ceased by her fa­ther, Em­mett Big­gers; mother, Clara Big­gers; sis­ters, “Mibby” Lot and Hazel McClure; brother, Hill Big­gers; and her hus­band, Tharon Stubbs, who was a dec­o­rated Pur­ple Heart Vet­eran of World War II.

Ms. Stubbs is sur­vived by her chil­dren, Christy Baker and Rick F. Stubbs, Sr. She is also sur­vived by her grand­chil­dren, Heather B. Autry, Rick F. Stubbs, Jr., Kim Stubbs, Raife Baker, and Travis Stubbs. She is also sur­vived by great grand­chil­dren: Califf Carnes, Bryant Autry, Micah Stubbs, Christo­pher Autry, Lilly Stubbs, Al­li­son Mitchell, Bray­don Mitchell, and McKin­ley Al­li­son.

Ms. Stubbs re­tired from Bibb Man­u­fac­tur­ing in Por­terdale. She loved her fam­ily and loved spend­ing all her time with her chil­dren, grand­chil­dren and great grand­chil­dren. She loved spring, pic­nics, tak­ing long walks on her dirt road, sewing, pick­ing jon­quils, and tak­ing care of all her pets she loved so much.

In lieu of flow­ers, dona­tions can be made to the New­ton County An­i­mal Shel­ter, 210 Lower River Road, Cov­ing­ton, Ge­or­gia 30014. The sur­viv­ing fam­ily will re­mem­ber and honor her in a pri­vate me­mo­rial ser­vice at a fu­ture date to be determined.
