UP TO THE CHAL­LENGE

Hun­dreds of peo­ple braved the el­e­ments Satur­day for the 14th An­nual Chee­rios Chal­lenge. Run­ners par­tic­i­pated in a 10K, 5K, 1-mile run and more, all to ben­e­fit the Cov­ing­ton YMCA.

The wet weather didn’t dampen spir­its for an early morn­ing run to ben­e­fit the Cov­ing­ton YMCA Satur­day. Rac­ers par­tic­i­pated in a 10K, 5K, 1-mile fun run and Trix Tot Trot dur­ing the 14th An­nual Chee­rios Chal­lenge. The event is held an­nu­ally for peo­ple in the com­mu­nity to get out and come to­gether, and be ac­tive dur­ing the spring time, and it also helps raise funds for YMCA’s Why It Mat­ters an­nual fundrais­ing camp­ing. The cam­paign is used to help fam­i­lies par­tic­i­pate in Y pro­grams that oth­er­wise might not be able to af­ford it.
