Mr. Michael Eu­gene Luna, 49 of So­cial Cir- cle, went to be with his heav­enly Fa­ther April 17, 2015 at New­ton Med­i­cal Cen­ter. Michael was born in Birm­ing­ham, Alabama on Novem­ber 22, 1965. He is pre­ceded in death by his grand­par­ent’s Posey Luna and C.L. and Julie Mul­lenix and brother Ti­mothy Luna.

Michael was an Ea­gle Scout and he was a grad­u­ate from DeKalb Tech­ni­cal Col­lege, where he was cer­ti­fied in 1984 as an EMT and later as a Para­medic. He could not pos­si­bly have fore­seen the many lives he would touch. Not only could he be re­mem­bered as a teacher and men­tor but also an in­stru­men­tal fig­ure in cre­at­ing var­i­ous pro­to­cols and pro­grams in his 30 year ca­reer. He was em­ployed by Cen­tral EMS.

He was a lov­ing hus­band, fa­ther, son, brother and un­cle. Michael loved laugh­ter and never missed the op­por­tu­nity to make some­one laugh. He was also a loyal Alabama Crim­son Tide fan. He was an in­spi­ra­tion to all who knew him.

Michael is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife of 29 years Teresa Luna of So­cial Cir­cle; daugh­ter Melissa Luna of So­cial Cir­cle; son Tay­lor Luna of So­cial Cir­cle; par­ents BJ and Randall Luna of Cov­ing­ton; brother Christo­pher Luna of Los An­ge­les; grand­mother Eve­line Luna of Alabama; mother and fa­ther in law Carolyn and Billy Mor­ris of Dou­glasville; sis­ters in law Lisa Luna of Cov­ing­ton, Wanda and Terry Na­tion of Dou­glasville; brother in law Danny Mor­ris of Dou­glasville; nieces Sarah and Kai­ley Luna of Cov­ing­ton, Kaleigh and Joey Quadagno of Tem- ple; neph­ews Daniel and Heather Na­tion of Gra­ham, Alabama., Matthew Na­tion of Villa Rica, Luke Mor­ris of New Or­leans and Kyle Mor­ris of Dou­glasville; great niece and great neph­ews.

Fu­neral ser­vices for Mr. Luna will be held Satur­day, April 25, 2015 at First United Methodist Church of Cov­ing­ton at 3 p.m. with Rev. Robert Nash of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment will fol­low im­me­di­ately af­ter the ser­vice at Lawn­wood Me­mo­rial Park.
