Porterdale Vows to Clean Up
SEPTEMBER 5, 1991
Porterdale had some concerns about the city’s cleanliness and safety. They created a new city ordinance that requires all residences to clean their areas. Councilmen would patrol the neighborhoods and report all people in violation and give them a 30 day warning to maintain their property. “We are hoping for the domino effect to come out of this effort. Once one area is clean, then the other areas will follow.” Said a member of the city council. It is impressive how dedicated they are to keeping their city clean and presentable.
