Fire Ser­vices to sell Ca­jun Fried Tur­keys for a cause

The New­ton County Fire Ser­vices (NCFS) will host a Ca­jun Fried Turkey fundraiser to ben­e­fit the Sal­va­tion Army’s An­gel Tree pro­gram.

In­ter­ested in­di­vid­u­als can pur­chase a cer­tifi­cate for a fully cooked, 10-12 pound Ca­jun fried turkey. The tur­keys will be ready- to- eat, mak­ing a Thanksg iv i ng County Fire Sta­tion lo­ca­tion around the county or NCFS fire ad­min­is­tra­tion build­ing, 4136 A Hwy 278 (Be­tween Pizza Hut and McDon­alds), Cov­ing­ton, GA 30014.

The cost of the cer­tifi­cate is $45 with all pro­ceeds ben­e­fit­ing needy chil­dren for the Christ­mas hol­i­day.

Fire depart­ment per­son­nel, led by Bat­tal­ion Chief Joe Ca­gle, will be cook­ing these tur­keys on Nov. 23, at NCFS Fire Sta­tion No. 1 at 11545 Cov­ing­ton By­pass Road, Cov­ing­ton, GA 30014. Cer­tifi­cates will be avail­able for pur­chase un­til Nov. 21.

All pur­chases re­quire pre-pay­ment and no pur­chases will be avail­able the day of the event.
