Meet in the Covington Square at 3 p.m. for the for the monthly community bike ride. Rides are led by community volunteers who enjoy sharing their enthusiasm for biking and trails.

To raise money for a scholarship to go to ninth grade theatre majors in the Academy for Performing and Visual Arts at Heritage High School in Conyers, the theatre department of the school is hosting a “Do It For Jared” Christmas Bowl at AMF Bowling in Conyers from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jared Rollins-Jones passed away nearly two years ago from sickle cell anemia. He was born in Newton County 16 years ago.

Salem United Methoidst Church, 3962 Salem Road, will sponsor its annual Breakfast with Santa from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Family Life Center. A breakfast and picture with Santa are included for the ticket price of $6. There will also be a Secret Santa Shop with gifts $5 or less with free wrapping.
