Our thoughts Visit The Covington News’ new website
As of Friday morning,
has introduced the beta version of its new website. This beta site can be found at anvil.covnews.com.
Why beta? Well, as it is with anything, there may be kinks that need to be worked out. We want to make sure our website has everything worked out before it is completely live.
This is where you come in.
Visit the site and take a look around. We want to hear what you think. Did you have trouble logging in? Were you unable to find something you were looking for? These are things we need to know.
Our readers have been begging for a website since I’ve been with this newspaper. It is long overdue.
What’s different? So much! The new website offers a responsive design, which allows desktop, tablet and mobile viewers to have the same great experience. The new website also allows you to log in straight from Facebook, which should eliminate some of the issues we’ve seen previously.
With the launch of the new website,
is offering a special subscription deal so you have the chance to check everything out. With four free weeks, you are able to take a look around and check everything out and offer feedback before getting charged. As the editor of
I would like to thank you for your patience as we have been working our way through this process. We have heard your cries for an updated website and we hope you are happy with what we are providing.
Anyone with suggestions, comments or questions about the new website can email news@ covnews.com.
So, after a few days on the beta site we hope to have all of the kinks worked out. We will then switch everything over and officially become the CovNews.com you are used to.
Updating the website is just one of the many changes that have taken place at
in recent weeks. As many of you have noticed, we are in the process of getting this updated in our print publication as well.
We hope you are not only enjoying the changes, but understand our thought process. As your community newspaper we are constantly working to create the product you want.
Thank you for your continued support.
