The Covington News has a new digital home.

Beginning Friday, users can see the all-new CovNews.com at the beta site anvil.covnews.com.

“We are excited to enhance our digital presence,” News Editor Jackie Gutknecht said. “With the growth of online journalism and the changing digital age, we have been working to build a website that fits with the times.”

CovNews.com reaches an average of 100,000 unique users each month, according to Google Ana- lytics. The United States Census Bureau estimates the population of Newton County at just over 105,000.

The new site features a responsive design to any screen or device, infinite scrolling, faster load times and enhanced features for image and video display.

“Our readers have been begging for a new website for quite some time,” Gutknecht said. “We are happy to finally be able to provide them with this product.”

The beta site will allow feedback from the community before the official launch. Any feedback or site improvement suggestions should be directed to news@covnews. com. Future developments to The
