The City of Ox­ford is ac­cept­ing ap­pli­ca­tions for the po­si­tion of Po­lice Of­fi­cer. Re­quired train­ing and ex­pe­ri­ence in­clude a high school diploma or a GED, ac­cept­able driv­ing record, no felony con­vic­tions, and be Ge­or­gia P.O.S.T. cer­ti­fied. The de­part­ment re­quires a pre-em­ploy­ment drug screen, phys­i­cal, back­ground in­ves­ti­ga­tion, CVSA and may re­quire psy­cho­log­i­cal exam. Ap­pli­ca­tions should be sub­mit­ted to: Chief Dave Har­vey, 110 West Clark Street, Ox­ford, GA 30054. Ap­pli­ca­tions may be picked up at City Hall Mon­day through Fri­day be­tween the hours of 8:00 to 5:00. Last date for ac­cept­ing ap­pli­ca­tions will be Fri­day, September 29, 2017.
