Man ar­rested in fa­tal shoot­ings

OLYMPIA — The Thurston County Sher­iff ’s Of­fice has ar­rested a 23-year-old man in con­nec­tion with a quadru­ple shoot­ing that left three peo­ple dead last week. The Olympian re­ported Wed­nes­day that Dugan Law­ton was booked into the Thurston County Jail on sus­pi­cion of first-de­gree mur­der, sec­ond-de­gree mur­der, at­tempted sec­ond-de­gree mur­der and sec­ond-de­gree iden­tity theft. An­other man, 23-year-old En­rique “Ricky” Lamere, was also booked into jail Wed­nes­day morn­ing on sus­pi­cion of heroin pos­ses­sion and de­liv­ery. Two men and one woman were shot to death early June 22 in a travel trailer near Lacey, Wash­ing­ton. A fourth man who sur­vived the shoot­ing called 911. Thurston County Chief Deputy Dave Pearsall said in­ves­ti­ga­tors found half a pound of metham­phetamine, heroin, thou­sands of dol­lars in cash and about half a dozen firearms in the trailer.
