Dog park update: The city of Lynnwood continues to plan for its first off-leash dog park. The location is the northwest corner of Lynndale Park along Olympic View Drive. The City Council now has to review a proposed construction budget of about $50,000. The plan calls for a .6-acre space, 9 parking stalls,

benches, a water station, a kiosk built by an Eagle Scout candidate and agility equipment. Construction is expected to take six months. The money for the project is coming from real estate taxes, city documents show. Lynnwood has been considering a park of this kind to provide a “highly demanded service” for more than a decade, documents show.
