James Paul Gagnon passed away peace­fully on Au­gust 19, 2016, at the age of 73 in Lyn­nwood, Wash­ing­ton. James was born on De­cem­ber 18, 1942 in Bre­mer­ton, Wash­ing­ton to Ray and He­len Gagnon.

James at­tended Ev­erett High School and later joined the Navy in March of 1960 where he served aboard the USS Hol­lis­ter and was dis­charged in Jan­uary of 1963.

James’ only son was born in March of 1981, Michael James Gagnon. James spent many sum­mers at his fa­vorite va­ca­tion des­ti­na­tion, Cres­cent Bar, Wash­ing­ton where he hosted friends and fam­ily, boated, wa­ter skied, jet skied, golfed, and spent many days en­joy­ing the sun on the Columbia River. James en­joyed spend­ing time with friends, work­ing on cars, the out­doors, shoot­ing, fish­ing and golf­ing, as well as his pas­sion for tak­ing care of his home and ve­hi­cles, al­ways keep­ing them in pris­tine con­di­tion.

James re­tired from Sno­homish County Pub­lic Works af­ter serv­ing 30-plus years.

James is sur­vived by his son, Michael Gagnon of Ev­erett, Wash.; and by his brother, Jon Gagnon of Round Rock, Texas.

A cel­e­bra­tion of life will be held at Michael Gagnon’s house on Septem­ber 17, 2016 be­tween Noon and 2:00 p.m. Ad­dress: 9027 Eastview Ave, Ev­erett, WA 98208
