Most want range of viewpoints

The Daily Herald - - OPINION -

What a good Opinion page on Aug. 31. First, I very much appreciated the “In Our View” editorial “Free speech its own safe space.” May I offer a book recommendation: “Unlearning Liberty: Campus Censorship and The End of American Debate,” by Greg Lukianoff, president of Foundation for Individual Rights in Education.

Second, I enjoyed Steven Epple’s letter, “Our political system works against moderates” and, like him, will be voting while very unhappy with the slate (and I look forward to reading the Mann and Ornstein book).

Finally, regarding the “Schwab/Robinson Survey” issue, count me in as a fan of both columnists, as well as of most of the opinion writers featured in the Herald (Milbank, Harrop, Parker, Krauthammer … et al.). I’m sure a survey would find that many (most?) readers enjoy the range of viewpoints.
