Protesters left a bad taste

The Daily Herald - - OPINION -

We came from Bellingham last week to attend the wonderful Trunp rally. We waited in line, for over two hours. It seemed like about 30 minutes because of the like-minded, fun people who were in line with us. Several of us thought we should go out for a late dinner somewhere in Everett (probably over 20 people.) About that time, we ran into many of the foul-mouthed Trump haters. We were also informed that it had been organized by the mayor of Everett, which we found despicable.

In no way were any of us interested in spending any money in “his city.” My significant other (Mike) and I travel often between Bellingham and Kirkland (homes in both places). We have often wondered what Everett is like now. It appears to be a nice city with lots of amenities. However, I can assure you that none of our money or, any of the people in line, have the slightest bit of interest in spending our hard-earned money in Everett. Elizabeth Gail Penn
