Col. Walt Cun­ning­ham, lu­nar mod­ule pi­lot of the Apollo 7 mis­sion, will be the fea­tured speaker at what’s billed as the largest an­nual space-themed expo in Texas. Vis­i­tors can lis­ten to a ques­tion-and-an­swer ses­sion be­tween se­lect Dal­las-area stu­dents and In­ter­na­tional Space Sta­tion Com­man­der Jef­frey Wil­liams. Other high­lights of this fam­ily-ori­ented event in­clude Moon Academy and Lu­nar Univer­sity classes; South­ern Methodist Univer­sity’s Physics Cir­cus; the chance to get in­side a Rus­sian space suit; and more than 36 ex­hibitors with ro­botic demos, me­te­orite sam­ples and other space-re­lated ac­tiv­i­ties and dis­plays. The first 250 young vis­i­tors will re­ceive bags of space-themed good­ies.
