‘walkSTEM’ pro­gram to de­but at Pi Day Math Fes­ti­val

Stu­dents from around the area will par­tic­i­pate in a new, in­ter­ac­tive learn­ing pro­gram called “walkSTEM” at a Pi Day Math Fes­ti­val from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tues­day at Sam­mons Park, 2403 Flora St.

The fes­ti­val will fea­ture al­most 20 lo­cal or­ga­ni­za­tions show­cas­ing how math is an im­por­tant tool they use to achieve their pur­pose.

The Dal­las Zoo, Dal­las Sym­phony Orches­tra, Rea­son­ing Mind, Bay­lor Jane and Jack Hamil­ton Heart Hos­pi­tal, Dal­las Mu­seum of Art, Perot Mu­seum of Na­ture and Science, South­ern Methodist Uni­ver­sity, Texas Leg­ends and oth­ers are sched­uled to at­tend.
