Man uri­nated on squad car and punched of­fi­cer, po­lice say

A 27-year-old was ar­rested af­ter re­port­edly uri­nat­ing on a Dal­las po­lice squad car and punch­ing an of­fi­cer in the face in a down­town restau­rant.

The of­fi­cers were in Zenna Restau­rant in the 300 block of North Akard Street about 2 p.m. Sat­ur­day when they were flagged down by a per­son who told them a man was uri­nat­ing on the squad car.

The of­fi­cers looked out­side and saw the driver’s side win­dow had been shat­tered, po­lice said. When they con­fronted the man, he punched one of them in the face, po­lice said.

Wil­liam Holmes of Fort Worth was ar­rested and charged with as­sault on a pub­lic ser­vant and crim­i­nal mis­chief. He was be­ing held in the Dal­las County Jail in lieu of $4,000 bail.
