Trump’s Israel move: Why?

The Dallas Morning News - - Nation & World -

Re: “Trump to move embassy in Israel — Relocation to Jerusalem could interrupt peace process, Arab leaders warn,” Wednesday news story.

What prompted President Donald Trump to make this decision? It wasn’t any profound thought process on his part. Being stymied by Congress is driving him nuts, and he feels he must strike out on his own regardless of the consequences. Thus, he looks around and discovers that he has the authority to do something the world and prior presidents had avoided because of the great uncertainty of this action. What does he know about the ramifications of this act? Nothing. He doesn’t care. The only thing he cares about seems to be the appearance of getting something done, regardless of the consequences.

Or perhaps this is a gasping effort to divert attention from the ongoing Russia investigation. Pick your poison.
