ROCKWALL — Jaxon Smith-njigba caught three touch­down passes and ran for a fourth as Rockwall pulled away in the sec­ond half for a 49-34 win over Ar­ling­ton Bowie on Thurs­day at Wilk­er­son-san­ders Sta­dium.

Ja­cob Clark passed for 369 yards and four touch­downs, in­clud­ing a 64-yarder to Smith-njigba that gave Rockwall (1-1) the lead for good in the third quar­ter.

Malcolm Mays passed for 470 yards and four touch­downs, in­clud­ing an 80-yarder to Zaliek Free­man to tie the score at 21-all just 38 sec­onds be­fore the half.

Clark con­nected with Smith-njigba for touch­downs from 36 and 21 yards, and Smith-njigba added an 8-yard touch­down run as Rockwall built a 21-7 lead.

Mays helped Bowie cut the lead to 21-14 with a 6-yard scor­ing pass to Mon­tez Pres­i­dent then found Free­man for the ty­ing score af­ter Lo­gan Claborn’s 59-yard punt had forced Bowie back to its own 20.
