OUR GOAL IS TO GET PEOPLE OUT TO APPRECIATE NATURE AND SCIENCE
participants can experience the beauty of the woods under a full moon.
“People love being out in the woods at night and they can do it in a group setting where it’s less scary,” Jones says.
There’s also “Babies in Backpacks,” where moms can bring their little ones on nature hikes; a bee keeping class, jewelry making with all natural materi- als, paddling classes and an entire hiking series devoted to women, to name just a few.
In all of those programs, Jones says, visitors typically will see something wild and enchanting in the woods.
“It’s not always predictable, but if you know what to look for, you’ll always find something,” she says.
