EASTERN CONNECTICUT SYMPHONY CHORUS ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS
The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Chorus is seeking singers for its 2016-2017 season, featuring Paul McCartney’s “Ecce Cor Meum” on Nov. 12 and George Frideric Handel’s “Messiah: The Christmas Portion” on Dec. 9. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
Auditions are by appointment only and will begin at 7 p.m. with the location to be determined. Participants are expected to prepare two songs of symphonic music, hymns or church music; those auditioning also will be asked to vocalize and sightread. Participants should bring the piano accompaniment scores of their chosen songs to the audition; an accompanist will be provided.
