Michael Corallino
Mystic — Michael Corallino, 57, of Mystic, died after a long illness on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at home in the loving care of his mother, Judith Fusconi.
Michael was born at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London, to Judith and his late father, Francis Corallino. He attended Groton public schools, and graduated from Fitch High School in 1977. He married Donna Painter, who predeceased him. They lived in Richmond, Va., for 28 years.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his sons, Christopher and his wife, Tara, of Richmond, Va., their sons, Nathan, Joshua and Stephen and his wife, Jennifer, of Charlotte, N.C. In addition to his children, he is survived by his two brothers, Francis Corallino and his wife, Susan, of Mystic and Raymond Corallino and his wife, Chyna, of Houston, Texas; several nieces and nephews; his aunt, Deb Bergeron; three stepsisters; and a stepbrother.
He was also predeceased by his stepfather, Vincent Fusconi.
He spent most of life working in the grocery business, most recently at Big Y in Groton. He was a dedicated, hard worker all of his life. One of his greatest joys was being at the beach, especially the Outer Banks and Misquamicut. He enjoyed working on cars and was an avid Beatles fan.
The family would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the Center for Hospice Care Southeastern Connecticut.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St., Groton.
