Jacobson leads the Eagles to a victory

New London — Kyle Jacobson scored two goals and had two assists as the Eastern CT Eagles beat Barlow 8-3 in a high school hockey game on Sunday at Dayton Arena.

Will Cannella had a goal and an assist, Kevin Close, Devan Jordan, Jack Mitchell, Evan Tower and Ryan Huta had goals and Trent Hughson, Quenten Dean and Jake Verbridge has assists for the Eagles (9-2-2). Rylin Fowler and Sean Buckley (nine) combined for 13 saves for the Eagles.

Men's hockey

• Thomas Lindstrom scored a pair of goals as Amherst beat Connecticut College 4-1 in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game. Bryan Ackil scored for Conn, with assists from Jeff Thompson and Dylan Chase, in the first period to make it 1-1. Connor Rodericks made 30 saves for Conn (9-10-3, 8-5-3).

Women's indoor track

• Shannon Kennedy of Conn College finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles on Saturday at MIT's Gordon Kelly Invitational. Kennedy's time was 9.73. Teammate Emily Senatore was 10th in the weight throw.

Men's indoor track

• Conn College's distance medley relay team was seventh on Saturday at Boston University's Valentine Invitational. The team of Christian Whitaker, Danny Aschale, Connor Trapp and Scott Mason ran a 9:56.64.
