Stonington — Kristine M. (King) Bell, 49, beloved wife of Thomas B. Bell, of Shawondasee Drive in Stonington, passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of Helen (Burns) King of Westerly and the late Edward A. King. A graduate of Westerly High School Class of 1986, Kristine went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Rhode Island. Following graduation, she was employed at both Electric Boat in Groton and as a legal assistant with the law firm of Peck & Tuneski in New London. Most recently, she worked as a human resources director for the Town of Stonington.
Kristine enjoyed gardening, music, animals and cooking. She will be remembered as a very devoted wife, mother and daughter.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by her two children, Olivia Bell and Evan Bell, both of Stonington; two siblings, Duane J. King of North Carolina and Deborah Tattersall of Westerly; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Jackie, Tarna and Diane.
Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Funeral services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
